New Video: Ace Clark f/ Skyzoo “Hard To Breathe” Sophomore LP “Black Privilege” Available Now

“Hard To Breathe Is A Tribute To All Of The Lives Taken By Police Brutality”
Ace Clark’s Black Privilege Available Now Featuring Talib Kweli, Joell Ortiz, Beanie Sigel, Elzhi, Fashawn & Skyzoo
HipHopDx Premiere
Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, Ace Clark was baptized in bars; from singing in the church choir to writing his first rhymes to impress girls. Although only 26 years old, Ace’s ever growing popularity lead to DJ Clue hosting his first project, to having legends such as Ice-T, LL Cool J, Slick Rick, Elzhi, Skyzoo and Peter Rosenberg support the rising artist.
Ace’s debut, The Good Fight, (2015) was well-received and received glowing marks from Afropunk, DJbooth, 2Dopeboyz, Vibe, HipHopDx, Team Backpack, The Source, Billboard, MTV, Hot 97 & BET’s 106 & Park to name just a few.
Ace’s mantra is about creating music that pushes the culture forward while withstanding the test of time; and that’s what he has accomplished with his sophomore album Black Privilege. The project is entirely composed, written and arranged by Ace and accentuated throughout by live instrumentation and neo-soul head-nods; all of the samples utilized on the project are Ace’s vocals that have been pitched corrected and modulated.
After warning you that life will pass you by if you don’t recognize the “Signs” with Talib Kweli and Joell Ortiz (which was premiered by Ambrosiaforheads) and the ultimate story of betrayal on the Elzhi assisted “Maxine,” Ace Clark premieres the first visual, “Hard To Breathe,” from Black Privilege with HipHopDx.  “Hard To Breathe” features Skyzoo and Tommy Versailles and is a tribute to Eric Garner, Philando Castillo, Tamir Rice and all of the lives that have been taken by police brutality.  The visual is intended to show moments of excessive force and unprovoked uses of power. Dealing with topics such as gun reform, Ace, Skyzoo and Tommy take you on a visual train of thought as they discuss the injustices faced by people of color.

New Music: Tragedy Khadafi f/ Havoc “Stacked Aces”

“Nas may have the crown as QB’s finest rapper, but Tragedy Khadafi is QB’s realest rapper”—Noisey Music.
New York City’s Queensbridge Houses legend Tragedy Khadafi unleashes a brand new album establishing his bonafides as one of the “builders” of modern hip hop!

With a career that started all the way back in 1985, Tragedy is indeed considered one of the founders of NY hip hop having played a critical role in the discovery of artists such as Mobb Deep, Cormega, Capone-N-Noreaga and more!

Against all odds, Tragedy has always been a trendsetter.  After gaining hype as a teenager by releasing “Go, Queensbridge” in 1985, coining the term “illmatic” in 1988, and running with Marley Marl and the Juice Crew, Tragedy was convicted at 16 as a juvenile on robbery charges and sentenced to prison. In prison, he became a member of the Five-Percent Nation and changed his name to Intelligent Hoodlum.
His early work such as his debut, Intelligent Hoodlum, (which was produced by Marley Marl and Large Professor) and his sophomore effort, Tragedy, were brilliant projects which spawned and greatly influenced the QB artists that would eventually rise to prominence; Cormega, Mobb Deep, Nas and Capone N Noreaga (some of which he played an integral role in not only their ascension, but also as a key contributor to their sound).
Trag’s third album, Against All Odds, was scheduled for release in 1999, but conflict with his label stalled the release; though it was finally released in 2001, Stints of incarceration stalled his artistic output until he released Blood Ballads and Thug Matrix in 2006; all of which were met with overwhelming press reception. Shortly after those releases, Tragedy was once again sentenced to four years in prison and eventually released in 2010.  His critically acclaimed documentary, Tragedy: The Story Of Queensbridge vividly details his life and struggles; born into extreme poverty and drug infested upbringing.
On 9-28-2018, the legendary Tragedy Khadafi returns with a new project, The Builders, and today, he releases the first single, “Stacked Aces,” featuring his QB brethren Havoc and Divine.

JAG Releases “2700” EP Featuring Ty Dolla $ign, Trey Songz, Honorable C Note & More

The time is here… South Central rapper JAG unveils his brand new EP titled 2700. Stacked with a range of different sounds, JAG gives fans tons of tenacious bars and infectious melodies. The project features Ty Dolla $ignTrey SongzHonorable C Note, Bizness Boi, Cozz, Problem, Gizzle, Mir Fontane and more.

Tyga is a certified hitmaker who doesn’t show any signs of slowing down anytime soon. The rapper’s most recent confirmation of that is “Taste,” a universal summer-accommodating tune that the Recording Institute of America (RIAA) has quite recently conceded platinum status.
After releasing his full-length album Kyoto back in February, Tyga has just joined up with Offset of Migos for the track “Taste.” The new single arrives just a few days after Tyga initially teased the possible team-up on his Instagram account. During an interview with DJ Sour Milk on Power 106 LA, Tyga stated, “I sent it to [Offset] and he FaceTimed me and told me the song was crazy and he wanted to hop on it.”
Tyga heads to a tropical mansion in the Dominican Republic, where he’s surrounded by a plethora of beautiful women twerking in bikinis poolside. With his opulent taste level, this seems to be just another day in the life for the “Rack City” rapper. The 28-year-old even breaks out his fresh LeBron James Lakers jersey for the special occasion. Krumping phenom Tommy the Clown makes a cameo later in the visual and finds Tyga partying poolside with plenty of bikini-clad women in the beautiful Dominican Republic at a beachside mansion.
Over production from d.a.doman, who samples David Banner‘s raunchy hit “Play,” Tyga delivers another Summertime club banger that finds wanting the ladies to back that ass up. Highlighted by its contagious baseline drum pattern and raunchy lyrics, “Swish” has the makings of another Summer hit for T-Rawww.

After a very lengthy hiatus, Petey Pablo returns with a new comeback album, Keep On Goin’, a self produced project which will be released on 9-14-2018.  Today, “back like he never left,” Petey releases his new single and title track “Keep On Goin’.’”

Atlanta’s rookies of the year Lil Baby and Gunna have officially announced their new project Drip Harder on Quality Control Music / Young Stoner Life Records, A 300 Entertainment Label / Motown with a new track “Drip Too Hard” produced by Turbo. Both artists have been largely associated with each other as close friends and frequent collaborators with each having a breakout year in their own right respectively. Joining forces for one of the most eagerly awaited releases from both rising stars of hip hop’s new generation, Drip Harder is already positioned to be the moment fans have been waiting for.
Lil Baby shows flashes of brilliance” said Billboard of Lil Baby’s recent tour stop in NY last week while on his Harder Than Ever Tour. It’s no secret that Lil Baby has taken the rap game by storm with his latest project Harder Than Ever. The project debuted at #3 on Billboard’s Top 200, and featured the explosive single “Yes Indeed” feat. Gunna is also opening for Travis Scott on the ‘Astroworld: Wish You Were Here Tour‘ kicking off October 2018.
