DeVante Myles Tells No Lies With Rythm & Rap Track Those Games @DeVanteMyles

Every person, man or woman has been put in a position to be either the game player or the one to be played, no one likes or is willing to admit the latter. That is until now.

“Who hasn’t been in a situation where you wish the other person would mean what they say and say what they mean, out of my frustration rises Those Games.” – DeVante Myles

Once again, DeVante Myles the newcomer from Brooklyn, New York keeps with the same theme of circus games and unusual antics as he delivers the visual for his latest track. His release of “Those Games” touches on the everyday bs most 20 somethings deal with in their relationships.

Myles does steer away from his usual lyrical flow and gives us rhythm & rap parallel to the early days of Chris Brown but, we are blessed with a sneak peek on what is yet to come at the end of the visual. “Those Games” is the first single off of his second project “Sweet Nothings” due out early 2019.

Of course, no DeVante Myles release would be the same without making a stop at his infamous Oxford Circus. The dance battles, flashing lights, intimate setting, and urban underground vibes are the perfect match to the visual of this all too relatable song.

Maimouna Youssef (Mumu Fresh) Debuts NPR Tiny Desk Concert With Special Guest Black Thought

Grammy Nominee Delivers A Must See “Tiny Desk” Set & Debuts New Song With Black Thought
“Maimouna is a very special and unique artist.  From the first time I heard her I thought, man this woman is really going to impact music and do something groundbreaking that touches and moves people ”  Common
Since receiving a Grammy nomination for her vocal contributions to The Roots hit “Don’t Feel Right,” the Baltimore born and DC raised singer, emcee, songwriter, activist, musical healer and cultural philanthropist  Maimouna Youssef (AKA Mumu Fresh) has been making huge waves as both a solo and accompanying artist across a diverse spectrum of mediums.
Outside of her well developed relationship with The Roots (Mumu has traveled worldwide with the group; and also just finished a tour with Common), Mumu lent her vocals to DJ Jazzy Jeff’s group project Chasing Goosebumps and she also received a co-writing credit on Common’s “The Day Women Took Over” from his Black America Again LP.  Most recently she released a full length project, Vintage Babies, (2017) with producer DJ Dummy; who also serves as musical director for J. Cole and accompanies Mumu’s Tiny Desk performance as well.  Vintage Babies featured appearances from Common, TDE’s SIR & Malik Yusef. Later this year, Mumu will release a new project with Grammy Award Winning producer 9th Wonder & The Soul Council entitled, Been Here Before, which will feature Rapsody & Musiq SoulChild among others.
Mumu has also branched out into film and television, lending an unforgettable performance on Dave Chappelle’s hip-hop documentary Block Party, making a cameo appearance in the 2017 hit movie Girls Trip and contributed soundtrack work to OWN Network’s Queen Sugar, “Contradiction’s Maze,”where she collaborated with Oddisee. Further, Mumu’s “Roll On Sista” has also been featured on a national advertising campaign from Ford Motor Company.
No stranger to the “Tiny Desk” stage, as she joined August Greene (Common, Karriem Riggins & Robert Glasper) in late February of this year for a performance that went viral, she kicks off her set with “Ink Pata,” this ode to powerful women and cultural ancestry pays homage to Native Americans spiritual rituals of old and spoke in the Lakota language and then transitions sublimely into “Miracle.” Say My Name” is a tribute to Sandra Bland and many other women whose voices dare to be heard and whose stories haunt us all until we remember their names.  The performance concludes by coming full circle, as Black Thought and Mumu premiere a new and still untitled track that was specifically written for Tiny Desk.  “It was a blessing getting to rock with someone near and dear to me” Thought commented.
“I’ve been a fan of the powerful work NPR has been doing for years and the Tiny Desk concert series has always secretly been on my bucket list” Mumu exclaimed.  “I actually wrote it on my vision board this past New Year’s Eve while I was making my new year’s resolutions, so this is a beautiful manifestation come true to be able to rock on the Tiny Desk stage with my partner DJ Dummy; not once but twice this year!  The icing on the cake, Black Thought is my special guest. Of all the people in the world, Black Thought, who happens to be one of the greatest lyricists on the planet and the first MC I had the honor of touring and becoming Grammy nominated with, happily agreed to be my special guest. The spirit was high in the room, the impact was felt and history was undeniably made. It’s a blessing that I’m forever grateful for.”

There’s so much on the horizon for Mumu Fresh and this unforgettable NPR Tiny Desk concert is just a chapter in her great adventure.

New Music: LV Tha Heatseeker – Respect My Mind Vol 2 |

New Music: LV Tha Heatseeker – Respect My Mind Vol 2
New Music: LV Tha Heatseeker – Respect My Mind Vol 2

A new hip-hop single that blurs the lines between the old school and the new age of the genre.
Artist and performer LV Williams is back on the scene with the release of Texas Made. The radio version of this track has all the grit and punch of the original, yet it retains a more appealing format that’s suitable for radio broadcast. In some cases, radio edits can be a bit lackluster, but in this particular instance, LV Williams decided to avoid compromising the integrity of his work. As a result, this radio version is just as powerful and astonishing as the original track. You can expect massive beats with a huge low-end, tipping the hat off to the best modern rap and trap releases. On the other hand, LV has a charismatic lyrical flow that really reminds me of old school hip-hop.

There is definitely more warmth to the artist’s vision, and a strong sense of identity that really make the artist’s own character stand out in a big way. They say that everything in Texas is actually bigger, and this definitely include the music. This song is a perfect example, with its huge tone, massive hooks and gigantic beats. LV Williams certainly can’t go unnoticed with such a hot track, and word is spreading really quickly. Texas Made is in regular rotation @ 106.1 FM The Heat-Tampa, FL, and 104.9FM KPUP-Seattle, WA and gaining more traction as we speak. LV Williams was also featured on a mixtape hosted by Coke Boys South and We The best/Rich Gang titled Certified Connect Vol 2 which includes hit single from Fat Joe and Remy Ma “ALL THE WAY UP”. Needless to say LV Williams is building one hack of a resume in the music industry.
